Maintenance is the best way to keep your computer running well. There are simple ways to help your computer stay fit. Below is an overview of different things you can do yourself.

We recommend having a service call every 6 months to 1 year to keep your system running optimally. Most clients who do this find their chances of having problems are reduced significantly and the system just lasts longer overall.

Optimal PC Schedule

Weekly:
1. Update & Scan Anti-Malware programs.

2. Update & Scan Antivirus program.

3. Check for Microsoft Critical Updates (XP/Vista/Windows7) Click on Start, > All Programs, > find Windows Update

Monthly:
1. Update & Run Anti-Malware programs
2. Update & Scan Antivirus program.
3. Check for Microsoft Critical Updates (XP/Vista/Windows7)
4. Run Disk Cleanup (Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\Disk Cleanup)
5. Run Disk Defragmenter (Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\Disk Defragmenter)

Every Six Months:
1. Call GileEnterprises.com for service.
2. Update & Run Anti-Malware programs
3. Update & Scan Antivirus program.
4. Check for Microsoft Critical Updates (XP/Vista/Windows7)
5. Run Disk Cleanup (Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\Disk Cleanup)
6. Run Disk Defragmenter (Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools\Disk Defragmenter)

Every Year:
1. Call GileEnterprises.com for service.
2. Update & Run Anti-Malware programs
3. Update & Scan Antivirus program.

How to use the tools we leave on your system:
Clean-Up:
Make sure your web browser (i.e. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, or Google Chrome) is turned off.
Choose Clean-up
When finished just close and say no to all prompts

Malwarebytes Anti-Malware:
Open program
Choose Update tab and Push Check for Updates
Go back to Scanner tab and select Perform Quick Scan then push Scan
When complete and it finds nothing choose Exit
When complete and it finds something push Show Results then push Remove Selected Items
If it prompts to restart then do so if not just Exit

MS Security Essentials:
No need to do anything with this program.
If it prompts windows to Update, Clean, or Scan just push them.
The program is automatic otherwise.
